Connecting your P1L Tagger label printer to BOLDR Pro allows you to access the printer's full range of features, including custom label design, measurement printing, and QR code labels. This article explains how to connect your P1L Tagger to the app via Bluetooth.
Before You Start
- Download BOLDR Pro from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) if you haven't already.
- Create a BOLDR Pro account or sign in with your existing credentials.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that Bluetooth permissions are granted for the BOLDR Pro app.
- Turn on your P1L Tagger and confirm it is powered on and ready to pair.
Connecting the P1L Tagger
- Open the BOLDR Pro app and tap Tools in the bottom navigation bar, then select Add Device.
- The Add Device screen will display any previously added devices under My Devices at the top. Below that, the Discover nearby devices section will automatically scan for available Bluetooth devices.
- When the P1L Tagger appears in the discovery list, tap the + icon on the device card to initiate the connection.
- Once the connection is established, the P1L will move up to the My Devices section and the Bluetooth icon in the top-right corner will update to show the number of connected devices.
- You can now use all of the label printing features in BOLDR Pro with your connected P1L Tagger.
Troubleshooting
- If the P1L does not appear in the discovery list, make sure the printer is powered on and within Bluetooth range of your device.
- Tap the Refresh button at the bottom of the Add Device screen to rescan for nearby devices.
- Try toggling Bluetooth off and on in your device settings, then return to the Add Device screen.
- Make sure BOLDR Pro has Bluetooth permissions enabled in your device's app settings.
- If the printer was previously connected to another device or app, you may need to disconnect or forget it from that device first.
Tip
- Once your P1L is connected, BOLDR Pro will automatically reconnect to it in future sessions as long as Bluetooth is enabled and the printer is powered on nearby.
