[T1] Keyboard Mode and Customization Options

For users utilizing the Keyboard Emulation Mode, the T1 Tomahawk offers several customization settings to ensure smooth data entry and compatibility with various keyboards. Both of these options can be found by pressing the "units" button for 10 seconds, which enters the Main Menu.

Keyboard Delimiters (KBD Ending)

Choose how measurements are separated when using Keyboard Emulation Mode:

  • Enter – Starts a new line.
  • Tab – Moves to the next field in a form or spreadsheet.
  • Space – Separates measurements with a space.
  • Semicolon – Uses a semicolon as a delimiter.
  • None – No delimiter is applied.

To Change the Delimiter When in Keyboard Mode:

  1. Navigate to the Main Menu again by holding the "Units" button for 10 seconds. Scroll down to "KBD ENDING" to select what keystroke should be pressed after a measurement is sent.
  2. IMG_3572_jpg.JPG

  3. Connect to T1 from a mobile device or computer (T1 will appear as an HID Keyboard).
  4. Select where you would like text populated (this can be an input field, spreadsheet cell, or any text-enabled field).
  5. Go to the desired measurement on T1 and hit the save button.
  6. Measurement is populated in the text field and advances to the next field.
    • Measurement is filled in (in units currently selected on T1).
    • "KBD END" selection is hit after measurement is populated at the end of each measurement entry.

To match your physical keyboard layout, you can select from the following options:

  • US (QWERTY) – Standard U.S. keyboard layout.
  • Spanish (QWERTY with ñ key) – Spanish keyboard with ñ integration.
  • French (AZERTY)
