If your tape measure hook has been dropped or damaged, it may be bent and cause inaccurate readings. The Hook Bend Slot on the Accuracy Block allows you to carefully bend it back into place.
Note: REEKON does not recommend using this feature to correct measurement inaccuracies. If your tape reads long or short, the blade should be replaced for best results.
Be sure to have a firm grip on the tape measure hook part that is connected to the tape itself to ensure it does not rip off as well.
Steps
Flip the Accuracy Block – Turn the block to its thin side.
Insert Tape Hook – Place the tape hook into the designated cutout (Hook Bend Slot).
Bend the Hook
If the tape reads long, bend hook inward (down).
If the tape reads short, bend hook outward (up).
