The diagram below highlights the key features of the Tape Measure Accuracy Block and explains how each section is used. This tool is designed to check, calibrate, and adjust your tape measure for precise and reliable measurements on both REEKON-branded tapes and non-REEKON-branded tape blades.
Key Features of the Accuracy Block
- Blade Width Slot – Two slots sized for 1-1/16" and 1-1/4" blades. Side A fits REEKON and other narrow blades. Side B fits wider blades, including Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Stanley.
- Tape Hook Insert – Insert the hook here to begin accuracy testing with Pull or Push methods.
- Push Marking & Pull Marking – Designated positions for testing inside (push) and outside (pull) measurements.
- Accuracy Marking – Finely etched reference lines showing offsets of ±1/128", ±1/64", and ±1/32". The center line ("0") indicates perfect accuracy.
- Blade Setup Slot – Used when performing the Blade Setup calibration procedure on REEKON digital measuring tools. Located on the thin side of the block.
- Hook Bend Slot – A slot designed to safely bend and readjust a blade hook that is reading long or short.
- Mounting Hole – For hanging or securing the block in your workshop or tool belt.
- Instructions – Reminder printed on the block: "Accuracy is indicated by the single closest matching engraving on the jig to any 0.5" increment on the tape."
