[T1] My device shows another person’s name. Does that mean someone else previously owned it?

Seeing another person’s name on your device does not mean it was previously owned by someone else. The T1, M1 Caliber, and T1M use factory-assigned serial names that follow a first-name/animal-name format (for example, “Alex-Tiger”) purely as an identifier on the product and in the app.

These serial names are set during manufacturing, cannot be renamed, and are not linked to any real customer data or ownership history. They can be found on the bottoms of the T1 and T1M, and on the back of the M1 Caliber
