[BOLDR] Groups

Measurement Groups in BOLDR Pro are collections of related measurements within a Job that help you organize dimensions by area, material, or task so everything stays easy to find.

What Are Measurement Groups?

Each Measurement Group acts like a section within a Job, holding a set of measurements that belong together, such as all baseboard pieces for a room or all studs for a wall.

Groups have their own header and can be viewed in Board View as columns of tiles or in List View as grouped rows, making it clear which measurements belong to which part of the project.

Creating a New Group from the + Button

You can create a new Measurement Group directly from the main Workspaces view when starting a new area or task.

  1. Open BOLDR Pro and go to the Workspaces tab.
  2. Tap the center + button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Groups from the menu.
  4. Enter a Group name that describes the set of measurements (for example, “Group G” or “Kitchen Baseboards”).
  5. Tap Create to add the new group.

The group appears as its own tile, ready for you to add measurements or connect your digital tools.

Creating a Group from Existing Measurements

You can also create a new group by selecting multiple measurements inside a Job and grouping them together.

  1. Open your Job and go to the Measurements tab.
  2. Tap and hold on a measurement tile to enter selection mode, then tap additional tiles you want to include.
  3. Tap the Move option from the bottom sheet menu.
  4. Enter a Group name in the Create Group dialog.
  5. Tap Save to group the selected measurements into the new Measurement Group.

Renaming Measurement Groups

You can rename existing groups at any time to better reflect their contents as your project evolves.

  1. Open the Job that contains the group you want to rename.
  2. Tap and hold on the group name in the header row.
  3. In the Update Group Name dialog, edit the text to the new name.
  4. Tap OK to save the updated group name.

The new name appears on the group header and anywhere else the group is referenced, keeping your Job structure clear and consistent.

Why Use Groups?

Grouping measurements reduces clutter in large Jobs by breaking long lists into logical sections, so teams can focus on one area or material type at a time.

Groups also make it easier to review totals, spot missing measurements, and hand off work to crew members responsible for specific portions of the project.
