[BOLDR] Types of files (PDF, Image, blank background)

Files in BOLDR Pro let you bring drawings, photos, and blank canvases into your jobs so you can add measurements and annotations directly on top of them.

PDF Files

PDF files are ideal for plans, elevations, shop drawings, and other multi-page documents that need markup and measurement callouts.

  • Upload PDFs to a Job or group and flip between pages while keeping measurements and comments attached.
  • Use annotation tools to draw lines, add text, and place measurement tags directly onto the PDF without changing the original file.

Image Files

Image files (such as JPG or PNG) are best for site photos, sketch exports, or screenshots that need quick markups.

  • Attach images to a Job or specific group to document existing conditions or completed work.
  • Use measurement lines, markers, and text annotations to point out exact locations on the photo tied to your measurement tiles.

Blank Backgrounds

Blank backgrounds give you an empty canvas when you do not have a PDF or image, but still want to sketch and place measurements.

  • Create a blank file to quickly diagram room layouts, simple elevations, or framing runs by hand.
  • Draw lines, add text, and drop in measurement tags just like you would on a photo or PDF, keeping everything linked to the Job’s measurement list.
