Groups in BOLDR Pro let you organize related measurements inside a Job, such as all dimensions for a room or a specific set of components.
Creating a Group on Mobile
On mobile, you can create a new group from the main plus button while viewing your Job.
- Open your Job in the Workspaces tab and make sure you are in Board view.
- Tap the center + button at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Groups from the menu.
- Enter a Group name and specify the Number of inputs (measurement tiles) the group should contain.
- Tap Create to add the group.
The new group appears at the bottom of the current Job, with empty measurement tiles ready for input.
To rename a group on mobile, press and hold on the group header bar, edit the name in the dialog, and tap OK or Save.
Creating a Group on Desktop (Board View)
In desktop Board view, you can create new sections or template-based groups from the Add menu.
- Open your Job in a desktop browser and confirm Board view is selected.
- Click the Add button in the top-right corner of the Job.
- Choose New Section to create a blank group, or select Template to add a group based on a template layout.
- Follow any prompts to name the section or pick the template you want to use.
To rename a group in desktop Board view, hover over the group header, click the name when it becomes editable, type the new name, and press Enter.
Creating a Group on Desktop (List View)
In List view, you can extend an existing template group by adding a new row that duplicates the structure of the row above it.
- From the same Job, switch to List view.
- Scroll to the bottom of the group where you want to add another item.
- Click the New row option at the end of the table to create a new record using the same columns as the row above.
- Enter a new ID, name, and measurement values for the new row as needed.
This method is useful when working with structured templates, because each new row automatically uses the same fields and formulas as the existing group.
To rename a group in List view, click into the cell that contains the group name, type the new name, and press Enter.
