BOLDR Pro offers three ways to create labels, each suited to different needs. Understanding the options will help you choose the most efficient approach for your workflow.
Accessing the Label Creation Menu
- From the BOLDR Pro home screen, tap the + button at the bottom center of the screen.
- Scroll to the Labels section, which displays three creation options: Label Templates, Custom Label Templates, and Create Custom Label.
Label Templates
Choose from premade label layouts designed for common jobsite uses. Select a template to open it in the label editor, where you can customize it before printing.
Custom Label Templates
Browse label layouts you've previously created and saved. This opens your Custom Label Library, which displays thumbnail previews of all your personally saved templates. Tap any template to open it in the label editor, where you can use it as-is or modify it for the current job. Each template card includes a ⋯ (three-dot) menu for additional options like renaming or deleting.
Create Custom Label
Build a label from scratch using the grid-based editor. This opens a blank canvas where you can add cells and populate them with text fields, image fields, QR codes, company logos, icons from the Icon Library, and measurement fields. Once your design is complete, you can save it as a template for future reuse.
Which Option Should I Choose?
- Use Label Templates when you need a quick, ready-made layout for common jobsite applications.
- Use Custom Label Templates when you want to reuse a label layout you've already designed and saved.
- Use Create Custom Label when you need a new design that doesn't match any existing template.
Tip: Any label you build with Create Custom Label can be saved as a template, making it available under Custom Label Templates for future jobs. Saving standardized layouts reduces setup time and keeps labeling consistent across projects.
