The Icon Library lets you add pre-built icons or your own custom images directly to your label cells. This is useful for branding labels with your company logo, a retail partner's logo, safety and hazard symbols, tool identifiers, or simple shapes, all without needing to prepare separate image files.
Adding an Icon to Your Label
- In the label editor, tap the + inside a cell to open the Add Input Field menu.
- Select Icon Library from the list of available input fields.
- The Icon Library will open, displaying all available icons organized by category. Scroll through the library and tap the icon you want to add.
- The selected icon will be placed into the cell on your label.
Available Icon Categories
The Icon Library includes a wide range of pre-loaded icons organized into several categories. All icons are black and white, optimized for clean printing on labels.
Brand Logos — Retailers
- Includes logos for major home improvement and building supply retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Floor & Decor, and Harbor Freight.
- Useful for labeling materials by where they were purchased or for identifying the inventory source.
Brand Logos — Tool Manufacturers
- Includes logos for popular tool brands such as REEKON, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Stanley, Bosch, Craftsman, Makita, Festool, Hilti, Irwin Tools, Leica, Ryobi, SKIL, Metabo, and FLEX.
- Great for identifying which tool or brand is associated with a particular cut, piece, or workstation.
Brand Logos — Construction Software
- Includes logos for construction and project management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Fieldwire, Autodesk, Revit, Microsoft, Google, and Dropbox.
- Helpful when labels need to reference the software platform where plans or project data are stored.
Safety & Hazard Icons
- Includes a general hazard/warning triangle, safety glasses, and a safety vest icon.
- Use these to add safety reminders or PPE requirements directly onto printed labels for specific work areas or materials.
Tool & Hardware Icons
- Includes silhouette icons for common construction tools and fasteners including screws, nails, saw blades, drill bits, drill/driver, level, speed square, hand saw, hammer, pliers, and wrenches.
- Useful for labeling tool storage, identifying cut types, or marking what tool or fastener should be used with a specific piece.
Shapes
- Includes basic geometric shapes: hexagons, squares, triangles, circles, pentagons, and various star designs, each available in outlined and filled versions.
- Can be used as visual markers, color-coding identifiers, or general-purpose design elements on labels.
Uploading a Custom Icon
- At the bottom-right of the Icon Library, tap the blue + button.
- This will open your device's photo library, where you can select any image from your phone to use as an icon.
- The selected image will be placed into the cell on your label, just like a built-in icon.
- This is useful for adding your own company logo, a client's branding, or any custom graphic that isn't included in the pre-loaded library.
Editing an Icon After Adding It
Tap the icon on your label to open the Edit Icon menu with the following options:
- Add / Replace Icon — Opens the Icon Library again so you can swap the current icon for a different one.
- Rotate Field — Rotates the icon within the cell.
- Clear Field Type — Removes the icon but keeps the empty cell on the label.
- Delete Cell — Removes the entire cell from the label.
Best Practices
- Icons print in black and white, so choose images with strong contrast for the best readability, especially when uploading custom icons.
- For custom uploads, simple logos with solid fills and minimal detail tend to print more clearly than complex or photographic images.
- Use the Preview button at the top of the label editor to check how the icon will look on the printed label before sending it to the printer.
- Combine icons with text fields and measurement fields on the same label to create professional, branded labels that include all the data your team needs.
