Custom label templates let you design a label layout once and reuse it across jobs and projects. Instead of rebuilding a label from scratch each time, you can save your preferred combination of icons, measurement fields, QR codes, and text as a template and load it whenever you need it.
Creating a Custom Label
- Tap the + button on the main screen, or open the Tools menu and select Create Custom Label under the Labels section. The label editor will open with a blank template containing empty cells.
- Tap the + inside a cell to open the Add Input Field menu, where you can choose from: Text Field, Image Field, QR Code, Company Logo, Icon Library, or Measurement Field.
- Add elements to each cell to build your label layout. Use the + on the right edge of a cell to add columns, or the + at the bottom to add rows.
- Tap Preview in the top-right corner to see how the label will look when printed.
Saving a Label as a Template
Once you've designed your label, you can save it as a reusable template for future use.
Save as Personal Template
- From the Label Preview screen, tap the save icon (floppy disk) in the top navigation bar.
- A Label Name dialog will appear. Enter a name for your template and tap Save Label.
- A "Label saved" confirmation will appear. The template is now stored in your Custom Label Library and available only to you.
Accessing Your Saved Templates
Saved templates can be accessed from the Tools menu on the main screen.
Custom Label Templates (Personal)
- Tap the + button or open the Tools menu and select Custom Label Templates under the Labels section.
- This opens the Custom Label Library, which displays thumbnail previews of all templates you've personally saved.
- Tap any template to open it in the Label editor, where you can use it as-is or modify it for the current job.
- Each template card includes a ⋯ (three-dot) menu for additional options like renaming or deleting the template.
Label Templates (Premade)
- Tap the + button or open the Tools menu and select Label Templates under the Labels section.
- This opens a library of premade label templates designed for common jobsite applications.
- Tap any template to open it in the Label editor and customize it for your needs.
Best Practices
- Give templates clear, descriptive names (e.g., "Branded Cut Label" or "QR + Measurement") so they're easy to identify later in the library.
- Build a standard template that includes your company logo and a measurement field. This covers most common labeling needs and can be reused across every job.
- Save layouts you use frequently as templates so you don't have to rebuild them for each project.
- Templates retain their layout structure when reopened, so you can swap in different measurements or QR code links each time without redesigning the label.
- Regularly review your Custom Label Library and clean out any templates you no longer use to keep the list manageable.
