If you've been using the ROCK app with your P1L label printer, you may be wondering what's changing and whether you need to switch. Here's what you need to know.
What's Happening
All P1L label printer features that were previously available in the ROCK app are now being enhanced and moved to BOLDR Pro. BOLDR Pro is the new home for everything related to label design, printing, and project management with your REEKON tools.
What This Means for ROCK
- The ROCK app will continue to work and is not being shut down or disabled.
- However, no new features or updates will be added to ROCK going forward.
- Any future improvements, bug fixes, and new label capabilities will only be available in BOLDR Pro.
What This Means for BOLDR Pro
- BOLDR Pro now includes all of the P1L printing functions you're familiar with from ROCK, plus new features like custom label templates, an icon library, QR code fields, and more.
- BOLDR Pro is free to use for all P1L label printing functions. There is no cost to switch.
- BOLDR Pro is available for download on both iOS and Android.
Do I Need to Switch?
You don't need to switch immediately. ROCK will still work as it does today. However, we recommend moving to BOLDR Pro to take advantage of the latest features and ongoing improvements. Since ROCK will no longer receive updates, BOLDR Pro is the best way to ensure you have access to the full capabilities of your P1L printer going forward.
Getting Started with BOLDR Pro
- Download BOLDR Pro from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). [BOLDR] Downloading the App
- Connect your P1L printer via Bluetooth, the same way you did in ROCK.
- Your P1L printer will work with BOLDR Pro right out of the box. No additional setup or configuration is required.
