FAQ - How Does the T1R Work Outdoors?

The T1R Range can take measurements outdoors, but the red laser dot is difficult to see in direct sunlight. This is normal and consistent with how all red-laser distance meters work, including comparable models from Bosch and Leica.

The T1R uses a red laser because red lasers and sensors are generally more accurate than green alternatives, especially outdoors. The sensor remains accurate even when the dot is hard to see, so if the dot is hitting your intended target, the measurement will be reliable.
