[T1R] Buttons

The T1R has four primary electronic buttons and one tape retraction button, positioned for one-handed operation while you are holding the tool against a workpiece. Each button has more than one function depending on whether you are on the Home Screen or inside a menu, and may haves a separate long-press function.

Pressing any button turns the tool on when off.

Capture & Exit (+ symbol)

On the Home Screen, this button saves the current measurement to your Saved Measurement List and sends it to the BOLDR Pro app if the tool is connected. Inside any menu, pressing it returns you directly to the Home Screen, which makes it a reliable way out if you are unsure where you have navigated to.

Menu & Confirm (Three Overlapping Squares)

From the Home Screen, this button opens the Menu. Once you are in a menu, it confirms whatever option is currently highlighted, or enters that option's submenu.

Cursor Up and Down (Arrows)

These two arrows move the cursor up and down through any menu. From the Home Screen, pressing either arrow opens your Saved Measurement List.

Laser Toggle (Laser with Green Line)

A single press turns on the green laser line. A long press switches the tool between Digital Tape Measure mode and Laser Distance Measure mode.

Autolock Button

Separate from the four screen controls, the Autolock button releases the tape blade for retraction. See [T1R] Autolock for Tape Retraction for how to enable and disable this feature.
