This walkthrough takes you from powering on the T1R to seeing your first measurement saved and synced. It assumes the tool is charged and out of the box. Everything here uses default settings, so you do not need to configure anything first.
Power On and Measure
Press any button to wake the tool. The T1R starts in Digital Tape Measure mode, which is the mode you want for a first measurement. A grey background with black text confirms you are there.
- Hook the blade over the edge of what you are measuring.
- Pull the tape out to the length you need.
- Read the measurement on the screen.
The hook floats slightly on purpose. When you hook over an outside edge it slides away from the case; when you push it against an inside surface it slides toward the case. Either way the reading stays correct, so you do not need to add or subtract anything.
Reading the Home Screen
Alongside the measurement itself, the Home Screen shows battery level, charging status, Bluetooth connection status, your current units, any active modifiers, and the group your measurements are currently saving into. The active group sits in the bottom right corner, which is worth knowing before you start saving.
If you see dashes instead of a number, that is normal. Move the tape a few inches and the T1R will pick up its position.
Save Your Measurement
Press Capture. The measurement is added to your Saved Measurement List, and if the tool is connected to BOLDR Pro, sent to the app at the same time.
Find What You Saved
From the Home Screen, press either arrow to open the Saved Measurement List. Use the arrows to highlight any measurement, then press Confirm to view its details. Press Capture to exit back to the Home Screen.
Every measurement you capture lands here, so you can review, reference, or reuse it later without writing anything down. See [T1R] Saved Measurement List.
