I did mine after firmware update.  Used English and had no issues.  I verified it at several locations along the tape and it is dead-on!

I received mine today.  It is a very well made tool!  Very impressed with the ease of use (and setup) as well as the E Paper screen is super crisp!   Thanks for bringing this to the market!
