Great, esp if this can print/be controlled with a PC (or Mac) as a normal printer & not require phone+app.
Any plans on this, or is this unsatisfyingly gonna remain a phone-only printer?
There is extreme value in one (or more!) P1L-type robust printers connected to PCs/laptops.
Does the host (i.e, phone) build a bit image of the label and send it over, or does the printer have
internal fonts/typefaces etc.?

Hey Bill, eventually yes. The printer runs bluetooth and basically print anything that is formatted correctly so it is a feature we are evaluating and seeing how many of our customers could leverage. For launch, it will work with any mobile device.
Derrick,
Thanks! I'm hoping the BT would look like SPP and talked to from PC just like via another UART port;
makes life simpler.
With that, a published API of some control commands and 'how to generate a label bitstream' makes things easy & differentiates your folks' item from the various other somewhat similar-but-less rugged $70 label printers on Amazon.

What labels can it use? Is this a standard size roll?
Chuck
Hi Chuck, it can use standard thermal labels less than 50mm wide and we will also have some size/color configurations available directly as well.
I was thinking there would be an Avery label number or some number?
I've had my P1L printer for a week now. I've been trying to print a single basic text table, but despite searching all around this site, youtube, and the Rock app, I'm finding nothing. There's a few short videos that aren't really helpful, this FAQ which really doesn't tell me much...how do print a basic label without a QR code or image? Would love some help.
Hey Brandon, this is a feature we are planning to release later this week in the app!
Is it possible for the P1L printer to be configured as an AirPrint Printer so we can print directly from the iPad app we have developed? Thanks!
Hey Butch, not at this time but we are always open for future product suggestions! You can leave a post on our forum at https://forum.reekon.tools as well for consideration in our upcoming roadmap.
My Logo is a jpeg and in my former thermo printer was a menue for optimize photo printing by selecting different half tone methodes. Is there a way to do some eaqual optimizing for printing photos in the Rock-App?
Best
Martin
Hi Martin, thats not something currently supported in the app but something we can consider in future updates thanks!
