In the ROCK App, most data that is not a single measurement or material is an Files. Files are located in Areas under the "Files" tab and include:
- Notes - Use Notepad like utility to create punch lists, issues, or any kind of text notes
- Pictures/Documents - Capture job site photos or documents to associate with an area
- Annotations - take photos, documents, or blank canvas and annotate with lines and measurements
- Calculator Outputs - calculator or utility outputs can be saved for further viewing
- Conversion Outputs - Convert units and save for reference
- Folders - combine photos, notes, and documents to associate with a single group
Files can be created by selecting the "+" icon.
- Selecting the "+" Icon in the middle bottom of the Object Grid screen (Folders, Notes, Photos, Sketches, Doucments, Printing)
File preview icons appear in a grid format under areas once they are saved and include a title, when they were created, and, In general, there are two primary File screens
- Preview File- When selecting a previously saved File, a preview screen appears first to prevent accidental editing.
- Selecting the "i" icon brings up attributes and information about the Fileand allows renaming
- The print icon prints a label that links to the specific File
- The annotate icon allows for editing of the File
- Edit File- Allows for editing of the Files including additions, deletions, and other modifications
