Values Too Far Out of Range
If you see the below message, it means that the alignment of each step was not completed correctly.\
Please repeat the processing ensure the following:
- Move slowly from each measurement to the next
- When initially starting, slowly extend and retract the tape a few times to the 10 inch mark
- Ensure the first measurement is done when the blade is fully retracted into the T1 (do not let it slam)
- Ensure that each movement is exactly centered over the line that you are measuring to. The front of the tape blade should be exactly centered in between the line.
When the screen indicates to move to 10" - ensure you move back to the tape being fully retracted before recording the measurement next button. Do not hit the button when the blade is extended or you will get the above error.
Not Leaving the "Move Tape" Screen
You have likely selected the wrong blade type. Please see chart below.
To restart the process:
- Remove and Replace T1 Battery
- Select correct blade type (with the black box around it)
- Proceed through the setup process.
Tape Measure Not Accurate
If your digital display doesn't match the tape blade after Blade Setup, please ensure the following:
- Laser should not be used for blade setup
- When reaching the 276" or 700cm mark, make sure to press the tape measure up when aligning (as it has a tendency to point down at this point)
- Front edge of T1 should be centered over printed line markings
Tape Hook Bent
Please check the hook of your tape measure blade tip to ensure it is square and not bent outwards or inwards.
Comments
I have tried many times to get this blade set up. It started out of nowhere when I was already using the T-1. Kind of frustrated because I started a project and this went dead in the water on me. Please assist I would like it to work. Waited a long time for this with money spent.

Hey Greg, please send us an email at contact@reekon.tools and wed be happy to take a look
I have reached to the above email and no response. Please advise. Thank you.
I have an issue: when I activate the tape, the measurement is not displayed on the screen. Sometimes it appears, but most of the time, it doesn't show any data.
Hello Jose, please send us an email at contact@reekon.tools
I found the problem. I mistakenly set the first measurement at 10" instead of 0". The instruction to move the tape to 10", meant for me not to press the + button, was what I was doing. (Otherwise, why pull the tape out to 10"? I guess it's so the back of the tape can be read.)
