[T1] Layout Guide

(Available now - upgrade to firmware version 0.5.13 or newer to use this features)

The Layout guide is a Quick Action Feature that, when enabled, allows the T1 Tomahawk to turn on its laser as it approaches, and lands on a number or multiple of the number (pattern).  This is useful for having an indication when a certain number is reached as well as any multiple of that number.

  1. Select the Menu button to enter the Quick Action MenuT1 Quick Menu Button.png

  2. Use the scroll arrows to navigate to "Layout Guide" Press the capture button to confirm your selection.

  3. Choose the desired measurement on the E-paper display using the scroll arrows.
  4. The laser will blink slowly when it is 1" lower or 1" higher than the desired measurement.  Blinking will increase as it gets closer and will turn solid when directly on the measurement.
  5. Arrows on the screen will indicate the direction to travel.  When a measurement is reached, both arrows appear on the screen.
  6. The laser can be turned off by pressing the laser power button once, but the top indicating arrows will remain on.

Below is the Layout guide in action. For this example, at the 10-inch mark, the laser will blink as it approaches and turn solid when the exact measurement is reached. This process automatically repeats for any multiple of 10 (e.g., 20 inches, 30 inches, 40 inches), with the T1 flashing the laser to indicate these measurements.
