Functions combine one or more measurements to produce a calculated result — area, volume, or a distance you cannot measure directly. The tool does the math, so you get the answer on screen rather than working it out yourself.

Point to Point (P2P)
Measures the true distance between two points from a single position, even when you cannot access or align directly between them. Capture a reference measurement to establish position, then capture each target point. The T1R calculates the direct distance between them.
This is the function for measuring across obstacles, around corners, or over open spaces where a straight-line measurement is not practical. A tripod is recommended — it keeps the tool consistently positioned and produces noticeably better results over longer distances or tighter tolerances.
Area
Capture the length, then the width, and the T1R multiplies them to display the total square area. Useful for material coverage, layout sizing, and estimating.
Volume
Capture the length, width, and height, and the T1R multiplies all three to display the total cubic volume. Useful for estimating material quantities, fill requirements, or space capacity.
Indirect Length
Measures the distance between two points without needing direct access to both. Capture a reference measurement and the tool calculates the final length. This is what you reach for when an obstacle or your own position prevents a straight measurement.
Indirect Height
Measures vertical height without placing the tool at the top or bottom of what you are measuring. Capture a reference measurement from a distance and the T1R calculates the total height. Ideal for walls, ceilings, and tall objects.
