[T1R] Storing and Cleaning

While the T1R for the most part operates maintenance-free, the following steps can be considered when cleaning or storing the T1R for extended periods.

Storing Your T1R

• The T1R should be completely powered off when stored for a long period to reduce battery draining.
• Never leave the T1R in direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent UV damage.
• Charge the tool before extended storage rather than putting it away flat.

Storage and Operating Conditions

Do not store or use the T1R where temperatures exceed 100°F (60°C) or drop below -4°F (-20°C). A closed vehicle in summer and an unheated shed in winter will both exceed those limits.

Best performance comes in cool, dry conditions, at relative humidity between 8% and 80% non-condensing, and at altitudes below 9,842 ft (3,000 m).

Do not use the T1R in wet conditions or in the presence of flammable liquids or gases.

Cleaning the Exterior

Cleaning the exterior of the T1R can be done to maintain the visual appearance of your device.

• Use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces.
• Do not apply water directly to the T1R; always dampen the cloth first.
• Avoid using solvents or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the materials.
• If using cleaning products, test them on a small, hidden area first to ensure they do not cause discoloration or surface damage.

Keep moisture away from the USB-C port and make sure the port cover is closed before cleaning.

A Note on the Blade

The tape blade is electrically conductive. Do not use the T1R near bare wires.
