[T1R] Is there a laser on the T1R?

Yes. The T1R is a hybrid measuring tool, and the laser is central to how it works. Pressing the Laser Toggle button turns on a green laser line for lining up your measurement. Holding the same button switches the tool into Laser Distance Measure mode, which measures up to 165 ft (50.29 m) with an accuracy of ±1/16" (1.58 mm).

That gives you two ways of working from one tool: the tape blade for close-in measurements up to 16 ft, and the laser for spans the blade cannot reach.

Turning the Laser On

Single press the Laser Toggle to turn on the green laser line. Long press it to switch between Digital Tape Measure and Laser Distance Measure modes. A black background with grey text confirms the tool is in Laser Distance Measure mode.
