A factory reset returns the T1R to the settings it shipped with. It is the last step to try when the tool is behaving inconsistently and power cycling, recharging, and reinstalling firmware have not resolved the problem.
Before You Reset
A factory reset clears your saved data. If you have measurements on the tool you still need, open the Saved Measurement List and send them to the BOLDR Pro app first, or write them down. Once the reset completes they cannot be recovered.
Performing a Factory Reset
- Press Menu to bring up the Menu.
- Use the arrows to highlight Configuration, then press Menu to Confirm.
- Highlight Factory Reset and press Menu to Confirm.
- Follow the on-screen prompt to confirm. The T1R restores its original settings and returns to the Home Screen.
What a Reset Clears
The reset removes your saved measurements and measurement groups, and returns every preference in the Configuration menu to its default: beeper and vibration, saved offsets and offset change, Bluetooth status and mode, keyboard ending and keyboard locale, and your unit selection.
After the Reset
You will need to set your units again and reconnect the tool to the BOLDR Pro app, since the pairing is cleared along with the other Bluetooth settings. If you use Keyboard Mode, set your keyboard ending and locale again as well.
If the Reset Does Not Help
If the same behavior returns after a factory reset, the issue is unlikely to be a settings problem. Check whether the display is showing an error code, and reach out to REEKON support with your T1R Serial Name so we can help identify what is happening.
