[T1] Keyboard Mode

Firmware version 0.6.12 or newer for the T1 Tomahawk is required to use this feature

The T1 Tomahawk can emulate a keyboard to connect to any Bluetooth-enabled device as an HID Keyboard on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android devices. This feature allows the T1 Tomahawk to connect to any device over Bluetooth and send saved measurements in text format. The device connects the T1 as it would a normal keyboard and sends any measurement displayed on the OLED screen in the exact format displayed once the save button is pressed.

This allows measurements to be directly entered in forms, spreadsheets, 3rd party software, and more.

  1. Hold the "Units" button for 10 seconds to enter the main menu.
  2. Toggle down to 'BT MODE' and press the capture button. When prompted, choose between ROCK App or Keyboard Mode. Continue toggling down until Keyboard is selected, then press the capture button again to confirm your selection.
  3. Select the Units button again to exit the Main Menu. A keyboard icon will appear on top of the E-Paper Display.

  • Keyboard Ending and Layout Mapping – You can also customize the Keyboard Ending and the physical keyboard layout mapping. For more details, please refer to our support article: Keyboard Mode and Customization Options

Note that the T1 cannot connect to the ROCK App while in Keyboard Mode.

For the T1 to send proper measurements, ensure keyboard on connecting computer (in settings) is set to "English" as other languages may have different keyboard mappings.
